The Ferraro Family have been known for their great expertise in cuisine for decades. Originated from the South of Italy, Calabria, the Ferraro’s have satisfied the people’s hunger with their extremely delicious and healthy meals all over Italy and Switzerland.
Their hard work didn’t go unnoticed. In fact, there are numerous news articles exposing their talent and true passion.
Ciccio Ferraro has over 47 years of experience in running multiple restaurants and still running Il Salotto today. We can confidently say that he’s a well respected and talented gastronomy expert, especially well known in the Ticino area of Switzerland.
Perhaps the most impressive achievement in his journey is being the Head Chef of the Italian national football team during the World Cup tournament in 2006 – where they became champions! There has also been a book published with 50 of his special recipes, including what he cooked up for the football team in 2006.

Generations of experience has been passed down the family and they have now made it their mission to disrupt the bustling city of Zurich and create something special here.
